Abstract

The Soil Music project sets out to be playful resistance to linear, efficient knowledge production, instead favouring transformation towards a post-Anthropocene world. The inquiry seeks to uncover regenerative pathways that re-envision the future of researching teaching and learning, emphasising entanglement and relational dynamics beyond a human-centric paradigm. Hence, this investigation seeks to erupt traditional disciplinary silos, advocating the transformative power of an overarching regenerative paradigm.

Through a synthesis of disciplinary perspectives from music education, regenerative agriculture and musical artistry, Soil Music aims to cultivate a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between human and non-human agents, ultimately guiding educators towards innovative strategies for ecological engagement. The chapter weaves together the threads of artistic expression, sensory perception and ecological awareness in a dynamic, holistic approach to scholarly inquiry.
