History of Warfare presents the latest research on all aspects of military history, from ancient times until the mid-twentieth century. Publications in the series consider topics such as campaigns, civilian roles, environment, logistics, military thought, operational history, social and cultural developments, strategy, and technology, among many others, throughout the world.

The series continues to welcome work on less well-studied themes, periods, and regions of conflict, while casting a wide net, and aims to reach a holistic view of warfare throughout history, thereby promoting the connections between military history and political, economic, social, and cultural history. The series publishes monographs, essay collections, and source editions and translations.

Authors are cordially invited to submit proposals and/or full manuscripts to either the series editors, or the Publisher at Brill, Dr Kate Hammond.

Brill is in full support of Open Access publishing and offers the option to publish your monograph, edited volume, or chapter in Open Access. Our Open Access services are fully compliant with funder requirements. We support Creative Commons licenses. For more information, please visit Brill Open or contact us at openacess@brill.com.
