This volume brings together diverse voices from Brazil and beyond, in a global conversation on the core ideas of Rodrigo Duarte's work, a Brazilian philosopher working in aesthetics, critical theory and transcultural thinking. Daniel Pucciarelli is Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He completed his Bachelor's degree (UFMG, 2009), Master's degree (Universities of Prague, Toulouse, and Wuppertal, 2012), PhD (University of Munich, 2017), and a postdoctoral fellowship in Philosophy (UFMG, 2017–2019). Among his publications, stand out the monographs Materialismus und Kritik (2019) and Qualitatives Subjekt (Bautz, 2019), as well as the co-edited collections A atualidade da Teoria Estética de Theodor W. Adorno [with Rodrigo Duarte] (2020) and Arte, crítica e política: Cruzamentos e contradições [with Juliana Mafra] (2025). He is also the author of three poetry books and translator of authors such as Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Hannah Arendt, Theodor W. Adorno and Joachim-Ernst Berendt.
Luciana Nacif is a postdoctoral researcher in the Postgraduate Programme in Philosophy at UFMG. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from UFMG, which included a research internship at the Université Panthéon Sorbonne, undertaken through the CAPES/COFECUB Programme. She completed a Master’s in Global Fashion Management from the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM-Paris) and a Bachelor’s in Social Communication from UFMG. She is a member of the research groups "Modes of Presence in Contemporary Aesthetic Phenomena" (CNPq) and "REDD: Network for Studies on Democracy and Disinformation" (IEAT - UFMG). Her research is at the intersection between philosophy, technology and fashion.
