With the wealth of colorful characters described in the book of Judges, scholars and general readers alike have a strong fascination for Israelâs leaders in its earliest days. Lee Roy Martin, D.Th., University of South Africa, 2007, is assistant professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at the Church of God Theological Seminary, Cleveland, Tennessee.
