Precision is no coincidence. It is brought about by man, by striving for accordance with a standard or an accepted value, or by ensuring that the reproducibility of experiments is as high as possible. But what to do if precision cannot be achieved due to a lack of available information? How then do science and art deal with this lack of unambiguity? The authors of this anthology examine from the perspective of their respective disciplines the chances of taking blur(s) into account in their research and art. Because blurriness is reality.
