Abstract

As complex international commercial relations developed, the practice of arbitration became more popular around the world. In this context, arbitration practices on a local basis have been shaped accordingly. The purpose of this study is to give general information about the international and domestic legislation in Turkey in the field of arbitration. Within this context, it evaluates the rules to be applied to international and national arbitration proceedings in Turkey by taking into account the effect of UNCITRAL model law on the evolution of national arbitration legislation of Turkey.
