Understanding a worldview as a process of becoming rather than being, the paper engages with the thought of the Aboriginal teacher Jessie Wirrpa in relation to the work of the philosopher Emmanuel Levinas. In particular, the paper explores ideas of knowledge, caring and 'attentive intersubjectivity'.
