Abstract
The results of research by Old and New Testament scholars in the realistic-critical tradition points to the historical Jesus being nothing more than a Jewish prophet. Research by practical theologians and sociologists of religion about the faith of the people regarding Jesus produced a variety of perspectives. When biblical scientists communicate their results on who Jesus was to members of the church this will be only one perspective among a variety that believers have.
