Fourteen species of bryozoans have been identified fouling metallic panels. These panels consisted of aluminum-based galvanic couples that were deployed in a coral reef environment at a depth of 6 m in the Red Sea off Elat. Two of these represent new records for the Red Sea--Aetea truncata (Landsborough, 1852) and Bugula vectifera Harmer, 1926. Others could not be identified to species level and may include new or established species-- Parasmittina spp., Schizoporella sp., Rhynchozoon sp., ?Celleporina sp., Crisia sp., and Disporella sp. Also present are Scrupocellaria cf spatulata (d'Orbigny, 1851), Microporella orientalis Harmer, 1957, M. ciliata (Pallas, 1766), Savignyella lafontii (Audouin, 1826), and Watersipora subtorquata (d'Orbigny, 1852). Enhanced fouling by bryozoans on aluminum-based galvanic couples was observed.
