The female reproductive system of Scorpio maurus fuscus H. & E. (Scorpionidae) was studied in two different and isolated populations. One population was located in the Lower Galilee Mts., and the other, 100 km away by air (across the Hula Valley), was in the northern Golan Heights. Scorpions from these two populations differed in their body mass. The Golan scorpions were significantly smaller than those in the Galilee. Significant differences were also found in number of large, embryonic diverticulae. The average number of diverticulae was significantly higher in the Galilee scorpions than those in the Golan.
