Energy content of eggs and bodies and the relative clutch mass (RCM) in the lizard Agama stellio stellio was investigated. There was a positive correlation between “ra” (rostrum—anus) length and clutch mass (both wet and dry), as well as between “ra” length and clutch calories, suggesting that RCM increases with age. There was no correlation between “ra” length and mean dry egg weight or mean egg calories. There was a positive correlation between dry clutch/dry body mass and clutch calories/body calories ratios. The relatively high RCM may reflect the foraging mode of the lizard.
