Chirocephalus neumanni, an Anostracan inhabiting fresh-water temporary pools near Tel-Aviv and elsewhere in Israel, is described and figured. It differs from C. appendicularis Vavra in the form of the male second antenna, the shorter antennal process of the male, and the presence of dorso-lateral abdominal processes in the female.
