Among the cribellate spiders the web structure of Titanoeca albomaculata represents the closest transitional form from the irregular webs to the orb-webs. The lack of the concentric radii and the frame threads makes the web structure variable and less regular and dependent on stimuli originating beyond the web framework, during the advanced spinning stage.
