This paper is a short study of some Old Uigur words of fragrances. Based on the analysis of several passages in the texts the meanings of yid yipar and other words are discussed. Special focus is laid on the relationship of fragrances and remedies. Notes on etymological considerations of the treated words and their embedment in the history of Turkic languages are added.
