Abstract

I urge reversing order in the theme for our session to recognizing the major impact Jewish–Christian relations has had on recent Pauline studies. From a Christian perspective, more important than 'the New Perspective on Paul' has been 'the new perspective on early Judaism.' I will try to test these theses in reference to the work of two important contemporary Pauline scholars, Ed Sanders and Mark Nanos.
