Abstract

Countries and regions which have selected development strategies in favour of applying the comparative advantage of resources in the stage of development can usually maximise employment, thus achieving shared economic growth as well as uniform efficiency and equality. In this chapter, the author, based on consistent, logical economic analysis, discusses the effects of urban and rural employment expansion in restraining the deterioration of income distribution and reconsider the view that the income gap is narrowed and domestic demand contributes to economic growth, thus providing an adequate description of the logical relationship of Chinas sustainable economic growth. Within this framework, the chapter discusses the relationship of the expansion of employment, the improvement of income distribution, and the promotion of the transition of the economic development model and puts forward policy advice for encouraging shared economic growth based on the expansion of employment.
