Abstract

This study draws primarily on six-month participant observation of Ghana’s mainline and charismatic churches, and an in-depth interview of respondents on a variety of religious issues. The study analyzes the phenomenon of Ghanaian religiosity and the factors accounting for the vibrancy of religious life. The study demonstrates that Christianity has found a new form of expression, becoming a renewed force in the daily lives of the people.
