Abbreviations
Abbreviations of ancient and secondary sources in English chapters of this volume follow the guidelines set out in The SBL Handbook of Style (2nd ed.; Atlanta 2014). In German chapters, references to ancient sources are abbreviated according to the Abkürzungen Theologie und Religionswissenschaft nach RGGâ´ (Tübingen 2007), bibliographical details of modern sources follow the abbreviations in IATG³âInternationales Abkürzungsverzeichnis für Theologie und Grenzgebiete (3rd ed.; Berlin 2014). Where required, abbreviations of special sources (e.g. epigraphic corpora) are listed in the bibliographies accompanying each chapter. For New Testament manuscripts, the sigla of NA²⸠are used. References to papyrus editions are given according to the âChecklist of Editions of Greek, Latin, Demotic, and Coptic Papyri, Ostraca, and Tabletsâ (http://papyri.info/docs/checklist).
