As editors, we would like to acknowledge the support of the institutions that made the conference possible: the GEOANATOMY project subsidized by the European Union’s Horizon program 2020; Utrecht University: Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies: OFR and History of Philosophy group; the Utrecht Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities; the OIKOS Ancient Philosophy and Science group; the Anchoring Innovation research program, work package 5 (“Technology, Science and Material Culture”).
The conference and the current volume are part of the project GEOANATOMY. The Body as a Model in Greco-Roman Conceptions of the Earth and the Environment, directed by Giouli Korobili under the mentorship of Prof. Teun Tieleman at the University of Utrecht. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 897785.
