The 24th Congress of the International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament (IOSOT) was held in Zurich, Switzerland, from 8–12 August 2022, under the presidency of Konrad Schmid. Samuel Arnet was the Congress Secretary. It was the third time an IOSOT congress took place in Switzerland (after 1965 in Geneva and 2001 in Basel), and it was held in conjunction with the congresses of the International Organization for Masoretic Studies (IOMS), the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies (IOSCS), the International Organization for Qumran Studies (IOQS), the International Organization for Vulgate Studies (IOVS), and the International Syriac Language Project (ISLP). Some 450 scholars from all over the globe gathered for that meeting and enjoyed the congress and the venue, particularly a boat trip on Lake Zurich on the afternoon of 10 August 2022.
The present volume contains the main papers of the IOSOT Congress. We thank the main speakers for their contributions and Brill for their collaboration in publishing the present volume.
