Almost everything connected with the establishment and development of the communist movement in Ireland is obscure and disjointed ⦠Despite this uncertainty and confusion it is permissible to draw two conclusions in regard to the facts: first, that the Communist International, both directly and through the Communist Party of Great Britain, has helped in the efforts to establish communism in this country; and, second, that these efforts have been attended with no great measure of success.
