This book is a result of the project “From Performativity to Institutionalization: Handling Conflict in the Late Middle Ages (Strategies, Agents, Communication),” supported by the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR, no. 19-28415X) and based at the Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences. Individual chapters have been produced with the assistance of the database Czech Medieval Sources online, provided by the LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ Research Infrastructure (https://lindat.cz), supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic (Project No. LM2023062).
First versions of the chapters were presented at a conference meant to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the foundation of the radical community at Tábor in South Bohemia in 1420. This was organized by Prague’s Centre for Medieval Studies in cooperation with the Hussite Museum of Tábor. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held in Tábor on 20–22 October 2021.
