Abstract

The final chapter contains some criticisms of Dewey’s philosophical and political views. The claim is made that Dewey’s political philosophy can be viewed as an attempt to formulate some synthesis of liberalism and socialism. Following Carlo Rosselli, the term liberal socialism is adopted as an appropriate name for this political orientation.
