Victor M. H. Borden
(PhD) is professor of higher education at Indiana University. He previously directed the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education (2014–2022) to which he still serves as a consultant. Dr. Borden’s general area of scholarship is on the assessment and evidence-informed improvement of higher education programs and institutions. Dr. Borden was a Fulbright Specialist in South Africa and is an active contributor to several professional associations, most notably, the Association for Institutional Research, of which he is a Past President.
Bruno Broucker
(PhD) is Head of the Education Office of the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Guest Professor at the KU Leuven. He is Chair of EAIR and published articles and book chapters on higher education governance, policy and reform.
Edel Cassar
is the Director Strategy Implementation at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology and a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. She graduated in Psychology and in Human Resources and Training. She is currently a doctoral candidate focusing on the decision-making processes of Maltese part-time doctoral students.
Bárbara Coelho Gabriel
is Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro, Researcher at TEMA-UA. She has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, MSc and BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Her research interests are engineering education, entrepreneurial education and nanoengineering.
Cynthia A. Cogswell
(PhD) has worked in assessment, evaluation, and research since 2011 at private, public, research intensive and Ivy League institutions. In addition to her administrative role, Dr. Cogswell has taught at the graduate level in higher education administration. Her work focuses on strengthening campus efforts to measure and demonstrate impact. She has published more than 20 peer reviewed publications and delivered more than 40 peer reviewed sessions in four countries on an array of topics in higher education.

Brigitte Ecker
is Managing Director and founder of WPZ Research, an independent research institute that supports the transfer of basic and applied research into scientific and economic policy practice. Fields of research are RTI policy, education research and innovation, HE research, knowledge transfer and green transformation.
Pınar Eldemir
is a doctoral student and assistant at the Institute of Communication and Public Policy at the Università della Svizzera italiana in Switzerland. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on the internationalisation strategies of European higher education institutions.
Klaus Feldmann
is professor (retired) at the University of Hannover. He is a national and international lecturer, author and co-author of textbooks, scientific publications and research reports on issues of education, society and inequality. He is a long-standing research partner of the Education Science Group at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Cláudia Figueiredo
(PhD, Education) is an assistant researcher at the Centre for Research in Higher Education Policies (CIPES), Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences of the University of Aveiro. Her main research topics focus Higher Education, particularly skills assessment and well-being.
Anne Gannon
is based at University College Cork (UCC). She completed her PhD at UCC in 2019 on the impact of Government Policy on Institutional Logics in the Irish University between 2008–2014. She is a co-opted member of the EAIR Executive Committee and is on the organising committee for the 2024 Cork Forum.
Jussi Kivistö
is a full professor and the Head of Administrative Studies Unit at Tampere University, Finland. He has authored over 130 publications, mainly in the field of higher education management and policy.
Manja Klemenčič
researches, teaches, and acts as a consultant on politics and sociology of higher education at Harvard University and University of Ljubljana. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of Higher Education and is editor of two book series. Her main research publications are on student agency and student effects on higher education, and student centred learning and teaching.
Theodor Leiber
is a scientific counsellor and higher education researcher at the Evaluation Agency Baden-Württemberg, and Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Augsburg (Germany). His research focuses on evaluation and quality management in higher education and philosophy of science and ethics.
Nandarani Maistry
has 20 years of experience in higher education and is Director of Institutional Research and Planning at the University of Johannesburg. She holds a doctorate in Higher Education Management and her research interests include systems and strategic thinking.
Sara Moreno Pires
is Assistant Professor of Public Policies at the University of Aveiro, Researcher at GOVCOPP-UA. She has a PhD in Applied Environmental Sciences, an MSc in Development and Planning (Environment and Sustainable Development), and a BSc in Economics. Sara is President of the ENGO Common Home of Humanity.
Takalani Muloiwa-Klenam
is an institutional researcher at the University of Johannesburg, and is responsible for institutional surveys, data briefs and data analytics. She holds a Master’s in Demography and Population Studies and a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration.

Jessica Nooij
(PhD) is senior researcher at the Center for Learning and Innovation at Avans University of Applied Sciences and Chair of the Dutch Association for Institutional Research (DAIR). Her background is in behavioural psychology, sociology, intervention and policy research.
Mark O’Hara
is a National Teaching Fellow and winner of the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence. He has over 30 years’ experience in a variety of roles including Associate Dean and Associate PVC (Education). Mark is Vice-Chair of the European Association for Institutional Research (EAIR).
Beate Pawle

Alexandra Polido

Silke Preymann
completed her doctoral studies in Organization Science at the University of Linz. She holds the position of scientific head of diversity management at UAS Upper Austria and is a researcher in the Department for Higher Education Research and Development there. Her work focuses on change and change management at HEI s. She is involved in international projects in the field of student engagement/student belongingness and diversity management in HE.
Verena Régent
is senior researcher with a focus on higher education research, particularly aspects such as the third mission and innovation, the entrepreneurial university, researchers’ careers and inclusion. Currently, Verena is leading the Erasmus+-funded project GET-AHED on the green transition in higher education.
