Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning was used widely across higher education. Hodges et al. (2020) posited that courses delivered during the pandemic should not be considered online learning but “emergency remote teaching.” During the pandemic, some teachers and students expressed negative perceptions about working online. This approach to online education affected the concept and reputation of online learning and its benefits. Many students did not have the skills to succeed in studying and working online. This chapter summarizes the skills needed to succeed in online learning.
