Abstract

In this chapter, I explore the practice of Dancing-Reading-Writing (DRW) as a sensing pedagogical practice of teaching into the excess. The practice of DRW is influenced by dance improvisation, somatics, and phenomenology. DRW takes the body into full consideration. The body has often been conceived as the excess, the “too much”, the more-than of scholarship. DRW centers dance as the core of the research, and values excessive body data. The art-based practice of DRW invites us to be in the dancing.
