Yarkın Çelik
holds a master’s degree in Corporate Communication from Anadolu University and New Media from Istanbul Aydın University. His fields of study are new media, communication sciences, new communication technologies, and visual communication design. Çelik worked at the Middle East Technical University Technopolis within the scope of various projects. Fatma Pelin Erel
is a Lecturer at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University in Turkey. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Dokuz Eylül University in the Faculty of Administration. Erel completed her MSc and PhD degrees in Agricultural Economics at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University. Her PhD dissertation, completed in 2021, is “The Evalution of Consumers’ Nutrition and Health Professionals’ Approaches to Functional Foods”. In 2022, she presented her paper “Evaluation of Legal Framework of Functional Foods in Different Countries: A Literatüre Review” in Macedonia, xii International Conference on Economy, Business & Society in Digitalized Environment. Her paper “Evaluation of Health Professionals’ Approaches in Strategic Marketing of Functional Foods” was published in New Frontiers for Management and Strategy in the Post-Pandemic Era (Ece Nur Degirmenci, Ed.) in 2022. Gözde Ersöz
is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teacher Education at Marmara University who specializes in sport management, behaviour science in sport, sport and exercise psychology. She has published 30 research articles and six book chapters and presented more than 100 papers at scientific congresses. Ersöz is the co-editor of the Journal of Sport and Social Sciences and The Journal of Eurasia Sport Sciences Medicine. She also serves on the editorial board of many journals published in the fields of Sports and Exercise Psychology, Sport Sciences and Recreation. Ersöz has served on the committees and boards of institutions and organizations such as the Turkish National Paralympic Committee, the Basketball Federation, the Triathlon Federation, the Exercise and Sports Psychology Association, the Sports Sciences Association, and the Sports and Physical Activity Association for Women. received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from Istanbul University and completed his master’s and doctoral studies at Istanbul University. Hekimler received his PhD degree in International Relations and Political Science with a study titled “Germany’s New Eastern Policy in the Context of European Integration”. Since 2008, he has been working as a lecturer at Tekirdag Namik Kemal University. Hekimler, who works in the field of International Relations and Political Science, has studies on European Integration, German Foreign Policy, Central and Eastern Europe, Turkish Foreign Policy, and Women in Foreign Policy. Meltem İnce Yenilmez
is a Professor at the Department of Economics at Izmir Democracy University who specializes in the economics of gender, labour economics and social work. She was a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley between 2014–2015; was at Georg-Universität-Gottingen at summer school in 2015–2016; was Visiting Researcher at Lund University; was a Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2020–2022 and was Visiting Faculty at iim Rohtak, India in 2022. İnce Yenilmez is a Visiting Professor at the University of Tohoku, Japan since 2021. She is an economist focused on labour economics, discrimination, sustainability, social policy, behavioural economics, and care work. İnce Yenilmez has eight books published by Routledge, Palgrave, Rowman, and Peter Lang; her next book projects on migration economy, and economy, ecology, and environment will be published in 2024. Ayşe Mine İşler
is currently a lecturer at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Vocational School of Social Sciences, Department of Social Work and Counseling. She graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Social Work in 2017. İşler worked at the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants and Turkish Red Crescent Gaziantep Community Center and worked in the field of migration and refugees. Afterwards, she worked at the Child Homes Coordination Center affiliated to the Ministry of Family and carried out professional work in the fields of social work with families, women and children, children in need of protection, child welfare, child neglect and abuse. Eylül Kabakçi Günay
holds bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees in Economics from Anadolu University. Her areas of research are economic growth, development economics and international economics. Throughout her career, Kabakçı Günay has taken part in various international and national projects, participated in seminars, and given lectures in diversified areas of economics. Gökmen Kantar
is an Associate Professor of political science, political communication, political discourse analysis, political history and politics at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He gave lectures as a visiting lecturer in the field of political science at Esenyurt University Social Sciences Institute between 2018–2019 and 2019–2020 at Maltepe University. Since 2017, Kantar has been working as a visiting associate professor at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University in Turkey. He is a political scientist focusing on political language, ideology, intercultural communication, social policy, democracy, feminism and modernization. Kantar has 12 international and two national books published by international publishing houses. Miray Özden
completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Public Administration at Selçuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2009. She then completed her master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Faculty of Agriculture in 2014. In 2020, Özden completed her PhD studies in the Department of Local Governments at Marmara University with her thesis titled “Participatory Democracy and Participation in Local Governments: The Case of Thrace.” Since 2013, she has been working as a lecturer at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Vocational School of Social Sciences and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor. Kürşad Özkaynar
completed his undergraduate degree at Sivas Cumhuriyet University and his master’s degree at Sakarya University. With his master’s thesis, Özkaynar was awarded the Scientific Work of the Year Award by the Minister of Industry and Trade. In 2020, he completed his doctorate in Political Marketing at Sakarya University. Özkaynar is one of the editors of the international refereed journal Studies on Social Science Insights and also opened his exhibition on the History of Marketing and Advertising by compiling his collection of advertisements. Mehtap Polat
holds a bachelor’s, master’s and PhD in Public Administration from Karadeniz Technical University. During her master’s and PhD studies, Polat worked as a researcher at Coventry University and Regent University with the Erasmus Internship Programme. Her research interests are women, migration and children in the context of social inequalities. Sedat Polat
holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Adnan Menderes University and both a master’s degree and PhD from Atatürk University. He worked for a while as a lecturer at Trabzon Avrasya University, where he gave lectures in the field of social work. Polat completed his PhD in the field of “Poverty Studies” with a special scholarship programme “yök 100/2000 Doctorate Programme” in 2022. Gamze Yıldız Şeren
holds bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees in public finance from Marmara University. Her areas of research are public finance theory, public finance economics, public budget and gender.
