Mario Alarcón
(PhD in Higher Education) is a researcher at the Centre for Comparative Education Policies, Faculty of Education, Diego Portales University, Chile. He has held senior academic and administrative positions in Chilean universities. His research interests focus on higher education system governance, university governance and academic profession.
Bruno Broucker
(PhD) is guest professor at the KU Leuven and higher education policy advisor at the Institute of Tropical Medicine. He is the chair of EAIR and Editor-in-Chief of the book series Higher Education: Linking Research, Policy and Practice.
James Calleja
(DEd, PhD in International Relations) is the Principal/CEO, of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology and President of the European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education. Professor Calleja is a former Director of the EU Agency CEDEFOP and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Employment in his native country Malta. Prior to these appointments, he was CEO of the Malta Qualifications Council. He represented Malta on the EQF Advisory Council, the Bologna Process and the Copenhagen Process. His research interests are in vocational education, international relations, qualifications frameworks and quality assurance.
Ida Iselin Eriksson
is an adviser at the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills. She works on the administration of the Norwegian Centres for Excellence.
Magdalena Fellner
is research assistant and course manager at the Department for Higher Education Research at the University for Continuing Education Krems and coordinator of the Austrian Higher Education Research Network. Her main research interests concern the community engagement of students, the recognition of prior learning at higher education institutions and the social permeability at universities.

Corinna Geppert
is an education scientist and psychologist working at the Department for Higher Education Research at the University for Continuing Education Krems as a postdoctoral researcher. Her current work focuses on the academic profession, conditions of successful educational trajectories, educational (in)equalities and research on policy implications. Her methodological expertise lies mainly in mixed methods and longitudinal research.
Carmen Heidenwolf
is a policy officer at the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Education in Austria. In her work, she focuses on digital transformation and strategic developments of the entire higher education sector and has a background in political science and educational sciences.
Andrew S. Herridge
(PhD) is Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi. He obtained his BA in psychology and English from Florida State University, his MEd in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of West Florida, and his PhD in Higher Education Research from Texas Tech University. His research interests include access and equity in higher education, LGBTQIA students and resources, institutional leadership and policy, and international and comparative higher education.
Torstein Nielsen Hole
(PhD) is a senior adviser at the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills. He works on the administration of the Norwegian Centres for Excellence.
Pablo Hormazábal Saavedra
(PhD in Human and Social Sciences). His research interests focus on the area of institutional management in higher education, specifically in finance, costs and strategic management.
Lisa J. James
(PhD) served as Associate Director for the Texas Tech University Ethics Center. Dr. James holds a PhD in Educational Psychology & Leadership, Higher Education. Dr. James’ research focuses on access and equity in postsecondary education for underrepresented student populations, international higher education, institutional leadership and policy, and students’ understanding of academic integrity and other ethical issues and topics.
Kerstin Janson
(PhD) was project manager in project “KaWuM - Career Paths and Qualification Requirements in HE Management” and is a senior researcher and head of the research office at the IU University of Applied Sciences. She earned her PhD at the INCHER- International Centre for Higher Education Research, Kassel.
Cindy Konen
is a lecturer for business administration and a scientific assistant for innovation management as well as innovative teaching concepts at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund (Germany). She has a doctoral degree in business administration and is currently researching with a focus on the innovative ability of organisations.
Gergely Kováts
(PhD) is Associate Professor at the Institute of Strategy and Management and the executive director of the Center for International Higher Education Research at the Corvinus University of Budapest. He served in the university administration from 2006 to 2019 in quality development. He is still active in developing accreditation mechanisms and participating in site visits at the Hungarian Accreditation Committee and international accreditation agencies. As a researcher, his main fields of interest are higher education management and governance, higher education policy and funding, but he also teaches organizational theory and public management.
René Krempkow
(Dr) was project manager in project “KaWuM – Career Paths and Qualification Requirements in HE Management. He is Senior Scientist and Senior Manager at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin and at IU – International University of Applied Sciences. René does management, research and consulting in the field of Higher Education and is teaching HE Management at University of Oldenburg.
Alice Laufer
is a PhD Candidate of the German Graduate School ‘Digital Information Landscape and its Impact on Students’ Online Learning (DIAPASON)’ of the University of Mainz. Her research focuses on cognitive processes of individuals in Higher Education when solving web-related information problem solving.
Clare Milsom
is the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer at Liverpool John Moores University. She is National Teaching Fellow of the UK’s Higher Education Academy. A palaeontologist by background Clare has worked in higher education for over 30 years. Known for her work on the evaluation of large scale qualitative data. Clare has spent the last decade working in professional services with responsibilities for the Academic Registry, International Relations, Recruitment and Admissions, IT and Library Services and Student Support.
Darlington Mutakwa
is a Senior Manager in the Institutional Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring Division at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His responsibilities include enrolment planning and institutional research. He holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics and MPhil in Demography. His research interests are student experience and success in higher education.

(PhD) is Associate Dean (Student Learning Experience & Quality Enhancement) at Birmingham City University, and Associate Pro Vice Chancellor (Education) at Aston University.
Attila Pausits
is Head of the Department for Higher Education Research and Professor for Higher Education Research and Development at the University for Continuing Education Krems, Austria. He works with national and supranational agencies, organisations, ministries responsible for higher education as well as with universities in many different countries in Europe and beyond.
Pascale Stephanie Petri
is Post-Doc at the Justus-Liebig University Giessen (Germany). She holds a BSc and MSc degree in Psychology and earned her PhD for her research on freshmen’s experiences. Her recent research is situated in the area of psychological assessment and higher education research.

(PhD) was project manager in project “KaWuM – Career Paths and Qualification Requirements in HE Management” and works as senior researcher at PH Ludwigsburg. She is teaching “Social Competences” at DUV Speyer and is coach for personal development.
Florian Reisky
is a researcher at the Department for Higher Education Research at University for Continuing Education Krems, Austria, and the course director of the international Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE). His current work focuses on the academic profession, career building in science and higher education, the third mission of universities and internationalization of higher education.
Katharina Riesinger
is a policy officer at the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Education in Austria. She works among other topics on digital transformation and is involved in higher education planning.
Christian Schemer
is Professor of Communication at the Department of Communication, University of Mainz. His research focuses on political communication, advertising effects and consumer behavior. As Principal Investigator in the project DIAPASON Christian Schemer examines media-related effects when critically dealing with online information.
Marit Ubbe
is a senior adviser at the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills. She works on the administration of the Norwegian Centres for Excellence.
Denyse Webbstock
is the Senior Director: Institutional Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Her division is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the university’s performance, for strategic and enrolment planning, and for data governance and high-level data analysis for executive-level decision-making. She holds a PhD in policy studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests include leadership in higher education, institutional autonomy and the South African higher education system in general.
