This volume is a result of research seminar meetings, held from 2020 until 2022 at the Institute of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, predominantly in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic, within the research project Between Secularization and Reform. Religious Rationalism in the Late 17th Century and in the Enlightenment, funded by the National Science Centre in Poland (grant no. UMO-2018/31/B/HS1/02050) and in which I worked as the PI. The organization of the seminar would not have been possible for me without the collaboration of Hasse Hämäläinen, Marta Kwaśnicka, and Damian Barnat. I would also like to thank Hasse Hämäläinen, Izabela Zwiech, Malwina Mus-Frosik, and Aeddan Shaw, as well as the readers and editors for Brill, in particular Ivo Romein and Dinah Rapliza, for their helpful assistance in preparing this volume.
