Transliteration
The introduction and appendices present several reproductions of diagrams from the Arabic and Hebrew versions of the Elements studied in this volume. The labels in these diagrams have been transliterated according to the transliteration schemas employed in Études sur le judaïsme médiéval series. The reader should note that Adelard of Bath’s translation as it appears in Busard’s edition employs a different sequence of letters for labeling diagrams. The following table presents the transliteration systems which I have employed, as well as the letters used in Busrad’s edition of Adelard of Bath’s translation (with one correction, see below, Part II, Section I.2.1).
