Canan Ünal Adınır
has a PhD in Labour and Social Security Law, and is an Associate Professor at Marmara University, Faculty of Law. Kübra Doğan-Yenisey
is a Professor of Labour Law and Social Security Law at İstanbul Bilgi University and the General Secretary of the Turkish Association of Labour and Social Security Law. Having graduated from the Faculty of Law, Ankara University, she received her doctorate degree from the University of Geneva. Her main interests are contract of employment, technology and its impacts on labour law, the principle of equality and gender discrimination, harmonization of Turkish law with acquis communautaire, collective labour rights, and migrant workers. She has authored and edited several books and numerous articles on individual and collective labour law. is a full professor of Labour Law at the Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Louvain (in Louvain-La-Neuve). He is the President of the School of Labour Sciences (Uclouvain). He has been elected Co-President of the Association belge de droit du travail et de la sécurité sociale (2020–2023), after serving as President of this association (2014–2016). He is a member of the Transnational Trade Union Rights Expert Network (European Trade Union Institute). Dorssemont has read law (Antwerp University, Master in Law 1993), studied philosophy (bachelor Antwerp University 1990, and completed Complementary Studies in Philosophy at the Higher Institute of Philosophy, Leuven University, 1994). In 2001 he defended a PhD thesis in Law at Antwerp University. This research in the field of comparative labour law (B, nl, Fr, Germany) dealt with the legal status of trade unions in relation to the right to organize. He is also a Master Student in History of Art (UCLouvain). He was invited as guest lecturer in Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Università Statale di Milano, ulb, vub, Université Saint-Louis de Bruxelles. Maria Paula Ribeiro de Faria
is an Associate Professor in Criminal Law at Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (currently teaching Criminal Law, Negligent Crimes and Omission (Undergraduate Programmes), Medical Law and Compensation and Crime (Master Programmes), and Crimes against the Elderly (PhD Programmes and Master’s Programmes). She obtained her degree in Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Master’s in Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, and her Ph.D. in Criminal Law by the same Faculty of Law. Carole Nivard
is a Senior Lecturer in Public Law at Rouen University. As a member of the Centre Universitaire Rouennais d’Etudes juridiques curej (ea 4703), she dedicates her research to the guarantee of fundamental social rights in national, European, and international law. She is the author of the book La justiciabilité des droits sociaux. Etude de droit conventionnel européen, published by Bruylant Editors in 2012. In addition, he is a part-time senior lecturer at Hasselt University and a member of the editorial board of several Belgian legal journals (e.g. ‘Rechtskundig Weekblad’, ‘Tijdschrift voor Sociaal Recht’, ‘ArbeidsrechtJournaal’). He has also been the secretary and treasurer of the Antwerp-based Employment Law Association since 2001. Anastasia Poulou
is currently a Judge at the Administrative Court of First Instance of Athens, Greece. Prior to this, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich and a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. She conducted her undergraduate studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the Free University of Berlin, graduating with honours in 2011. She earned her PhD in Law from the University of Heidelberg in 2015. Her dissertation, titled ‘Financial assistance conditionality and social rights: revisiting social rights protection in the EU in times of crisis’, received the second prize in the humanities category of the German Thesis Award 2016. She also has a Master’s in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford. Her research interests lie in the fields of European constitutional law and human rights. She is the author of a book on the Eurozone crisis and more specifically on the impact of financial assistance conditionality on social rights protection in the EU (Mohr Siebeck) and co-editor of a book on the European Welfare State Constitutions after the Financial Crisis (Oxford University Press). Giuseppe Antonio Recchia
is an Associate Professor of Labour Law at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. Filipe Venade de Sousa
is an Invited Professor at the Faculty of Law, Lisbon School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and at the School of Education of the Polytechnic University of Porto (PhD, School of Law, University of Minho, 2018). He is a collaborating researcher at the Centre for Research in Justice and Governance of the School of Law of the University of Minho. His focus is on International Human Rights Law, particularly on the rights of persons with disabilities and language rights. Silvio Troilo
is a Full Professor of Public Law at the Department of Law of the University of Bergamo (Italy). After graduating in Law, cum laude, from the University of Pavia, he was a Researcher at the University of Verona, then an Associate Professor and now a Full Professor at the University of Bergamo. Between 1997 and 2001 he was called upon to carry out research and consultancy at the Italian Constitutional Court – as an assistant to Vice-President Fernando Santosuosso – supporting the analysis of cases submitted to the Court. He is a member of the editorial board of scientific journals and of national and foreign research teams, as well as of various scientific societies, including the Academic Network on the European Social Charter and Social Rights, of which he is co-coordinator of the Italian section.
