Translation of titles, especially when not previously published, is a perennial dilemma. Here, they are translated when it is important for the reader to understand their literal sense; to find the original text when that is important, the Bibliography of Works cited always contains the untranslated titled, with an attempt to preserve the often vagrant orthography.
