Different parts of this research were supported by different institutions and people at different points in time – all of whom I owe my gratitude to. I initially began researching the topic of this book at the University of Basel around 2014, under the mentorship of Professor Emeritus Hans-Ulrich Grunder. Later, thanks to funding granted by the University of Edinburgh, I was able to pursue a PhD in the area. During that time, I was supported and advised by Dr Andrea English and Professor John Ravenscroft, my PhD supervisors, whom I am deeply grateful to.
