Abstract

In this paper, I will explore the relationship between plasticity and disobedience in Catherine Malabouâs contributions. In the light of their reframing, among other things, of Hegelâs philosophy, these show how plasticity is a factor of disobedience to any established form, a refusal to submit to a model. I will first briefly outline the polysemy of the concept of plasticity, both in relation to Hegelâs thought â in particular to the concept of habit â and in relation to contemporary brain research. Then, I will point out to what extent the paradigm of plasticity allows us to rethink, with Hegel and beyond Hegel, the problem of the construction and destruction of the subjectâs identity.
