The present volume adheres to Brill’s simple Arabic transliteration system and uses rendered Arabic words such as Qur’an instead of Qurʾān, etc. For certain contributors, we primarily maintain their original sources of quotations such as āyah: āyāt, Sūrat: Sūrah or Muhammad as Muḥammad, because anyone with basic knowledge of Arabic can easily read and conveniently understand.
