Arabic Newspapers and Periodicals
The collection is divided into three parts:
• Palestine newspapers: these newspapers appeared during the period of the British Mandate as well as after the establishment of Israel as a state in 1948. They express the mood in the occupied territories and the political views that were prevalent within the Arab community, especially among intellectuals;
• Egyptian Oppositional Periodicals includes newspapers which appeared during the second half of the Sadat Era (1970-1981);
• Early Arabic periodicals consists of periodicals from the 19th century.
