Awarded by Choice the predicate of Outstanding Academic Title in January 2006, Dr. Behn’s magnum opus Concise Biographical Companion to Index Islamicus has gained wide-spread use and universal acclaim.
The set of three volumes of this Who’s Who in Islamic Studies takes as a starting point the inventory of authors from the renowned Index Islamicus. An indispensable reference tool for any serious student and scholar of Islamic Studies, the Biographical Companion enables the user to quickly gain knowledge on the life, work, and professional background of almost every major and minor author, and thus to place each author in his/her proper perspective.
