Abstract

This chapter explores the evangelistic impact of African Pentecostals in Europe, focusing on their understandings of salvation and how these shape their mission. Using three urban vignettes, it examines the theological and cultural drivers behind their evangelistic practices, highlighting how African Pentecostalism engages entire communities and fosters the âevangelisthoodâ of all believers. It argues that African Pentecostal soteriologies can be seen as pneumatological, holistic, and communal. By unpacking these soteriological foundations, the chapter draws attention to the theologies and missiologies of African Pentecostals at a time when they are emerging as key evangelists in Europe in the twenty-first century.
