Abstract

Chapter 3 details a “Pedagogy of Care” for alternative educators specifically, that can be extended to teacher-learners in any setting. Bringing aspects of D.W. Winnicott’s notion of “the good enough mother” into the educational realm via a student-centred strengths-based approach to teaching, a new sustainable pedagogical framework is put forth that supports care for the teacher in the process.
