Abstract

BednÃ¡Å reminds us that Masarykâs concept is supported by a fundamental continuity of thought that begins with the idea of a Czech nation from the end of the tenth century, leading through the activities of Charles IV, state reformation of the Hussites, the thoughts of Comenius and their reception by German Enlightenment, up to the mainstream of Czech national revival and the philosophical and political considerations of Masaryk and PatoÄka.
