Sigla and Abbreviations
Jaroslav Folda conveniently listed the manuscripts of both the Chronique dâErnoul and Old French translation of William of Tyre and its continuations in his article: âManuscripts of the History of Outremer by William of Tyre: a Handlistâ, Scriptorium 27 (1973), 90â95. Both here and in our other publications relating to these texts, we have adopted the policy of using Foldaâs enumeration with the letter âFâ (for Folda) to denote those manuscripts we have employed.
