Three new forms and an abberant male of the Androlaelaps arvicanthis-graingeri-theseus complex are described and figured. The procedure of describing new species in “difficult” groups, without the aid of ecological studies, statistical analysis of intraspecific variation and breeding experiments, is discussed.
