The occurrence of Lacerta danfordi (Günther) on Mount Hermon is reaffirmed. It is very similar to Lacerta laevis Gray (the common wall lizard of Israel) which is also found on Mt. Hermon. Coluber ravergieri ravergieri Ménétriés from Mt. Hermon differs quite markedly from Coluber ravergieri nummifer Reuss, which is common in Israel. Eirenis modesta (Martin) is infrequently found in northern Israel (where it has been identified, in error, with Eirenis collaris Ménétr.). The zoogeographical affinities of L. danfordi, C. r. ravergieri and E. modesta are all apparently Anatolian.
