A survey carried out on the Microlepidoptera fauna of the native oak in northern Israel uncovered representatives of 10 families and a total of 21 species.

The biology and population fluctuation of Tischeria dodonea are described, based on observations of the interaction of its parasite Chrysocharis nautius and hyperparasites Cirrospilus lyncus and Pnigalio mediterraneus. The fluctuation in populations of L. quercifoliella is correlated with the phenology of its host, Q. ithaburensis. The development of Heliozela sericiella galls is highly dependent on the parasitizing larvae of Pamene gallicolana and P. amygdalana: in some areas the latter destroy most of these petiole galls. A correlation exists between the population density of the different generations of P. amygdalana and the development of several galls.
