Abstract
The article delves into the factors that illustrate how education impacts fertility, offering examples from diverse countries and regions worldwide, and delving into cases of both positive and negative correlation. The study further examines internal indicators within Turkey, placing particular emphasis on provinces with Kurdish-majority populations. It highlights the difference in literacy rates, the male and female education attainment and the average duration of education in Turkish provinces. The study reveals trends in education attainment and fertility rates, with a special emphasis on the correlation between the two parameters. Based on the analysis of statistical data, the article reveals that education attainment in Kurdish-populated provinces is lower than in Turkish-populated regions, while the fertility rate is higher. The results of the study can have practical significance for developing social and educational policies aimed at promoting sustainable social development.
