Data on the song and stridulatory organs of the monotypic genus Bolua Ünal (Orthoptera, Tettigoniinae) are presented. Based on new material, descriptions of the genus and the species are supplemented. The phylogenetic relationships of the genus are evaluated using both song and morphological characters, for which illustrations are provided. The genus Pachytrachis Uvarov is assumed to be the closest relative of Bolua.
