Transculturality exists in two ways. First, it can arise from the combination of elements that stem from different cultures. This is the standard form of transculturality. In other cases, however, the foundations of transculturality lie deeper. They stem from a layer that precedes the differentiation of particular cultures and is common to all cultures and people. In transcultural phenomena of this kind something universal manifests itself.
